One of the major accomplishments of Sanguinetti Sensei's commitment to educate our local community has been the implementation of his Self-Defense Program in 1997 by Dr. Larry Maw, then Superintendent of the San Marcos School District to be taught at elementary schools of his district.

Dr. Larry Maw, after recognizing the multiple intrinsic benefits of the Martial Arts, such as self defense, respect, discipline and self esteem, and Sanguinetti Sensei's unique and wide range of experience teaching children, approved the implementation of his Self-Defense Program to be used in his district.

Since then the Program has been implemented in:
La Costa Meadows Elementary School in 1998, 2000, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Carrillo Elementary School in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
San Elijo Elementary School in January and December 2005, January and December 2006, February and November 2007, May and October 2008, April and November 2009, and April 2010.

The results have been very impressive. On top of the development of self-defense skills and awareness of the kids’ surroundings, the program reflected zero injuries and zero misuse of the techniques learned. Not only do the kids have fun, respect and discipline, associated with the martial arts, was greatly noted by parents and teachers of the children who participated in the program.
